3. Contact Form

Our contact form gives you a simple way to ask questions, share ideas, or request information about our conservation efforts. We value every message.

What we collect: When you submit the contact form, we may collect your name, email address, and any details you include in your message.

How we use it: We use this information only to respond to your inquiry, provide the resources you request, and improve how we serve our community. We do not sell, rent, or trade the information you submit through our contact form.

How it's handled: Submissions are processed and stored through Squarespace's platform. Only authorized NCI team members can see them. We keep your information only as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain reasonable records.

Your responsibility: Please do not share sensitive personal information, such as financial details or government ID numbers, through the contact form. If you need to share sensitive information, contact us first and we'll help you find a safer way to do so.

For more details on how we protect your data, please review our Privacy Policy.

4. Donations

Your generosity powers our mission. Every gift, large or small, helps us create and share resources that protect native ecosystems, wildlife, and the communities that depend on them.

Donations are voluntary. Giving to NCI is entirely your choice. You are never required to donate to access the free resources on our Website.

Donations are non-refundable. Because your contribution goes to work for conservation right away, all donations are final and non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, such as a duplicate charge or an incorrect amount, please contact us within 30 days at info@nativeconservationinitiative.org - We'll review your request with care and do our best to resolve it fairly.

How donations are used: Your donation supports conservation resources, educational materials, outreach, and the day-to-day operations that keep our work moving forward. We may direct funds to the area of greatest need unless you designate a specific purpose and we agree to honor it.

Payment processing: Donations made through https://www.nativeconservationinitiative.org/ are processed securely through Squarespace and its third-party payment providers, such as Stripe or PayPal. NCI does not store your full credit card or bank account details. Your payment information is subject to the terms and privacy policies of those payment processors.

Tax information: Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We'll send a receipt for your records. Please talk with a tax professional about your specific situation.

Recurring donations: If you choose a recurring gift, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on the schedule you choose. You may cancel or change a recurring donation at any time by contacting us. Cancellations will apply to future charges only.

5. Newsletter Signup

Our newsletter is one of the best ways to stay informed about new resources, conservation updates, and opportunities to get involved.

Opt-in consent: We only send our newsletter to people who choose to receive it. By entering your email address in our newsletter signup form, you give us permission to send you periodic emails about our work, resources, events, and ways to support our mission.

What we collect: We typically collect your email address and, in some cases, your name. This information is managed through Squarespace Email Campaigns or a similar email service provider.

How we use it: We use your information only to send you the newsletter and related updates. We will never sell or rent your email address to other organizations.

Unsubscribing: You're always in control. Every email we send includes an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom. Click it at any time to stop receiving our newsletter. You can also email us at info@nativeconservationinitiative.org and we'll remove you from our list. Please allow up to 10 business days for the change to take effect.

What requires permission: You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. Our name, logo, and related marks may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without our approval.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

We work hard to make sure the information on our Website is accurate, helpful, and up to date. Still, conservation science evolves, and conditions vary from place to place.

The Website and all its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, NCI makes no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or viruses.

Our resources are meant for general educational purposes. They are not a substitute for professional, legal, or scientific advice tailored to your situation. Before taking action on land management, habitat restoration, or similar projects, we encourage you to consult qualified experts and follow local laws and regulations.

9. Third-Party Links

To help you go further in your conservation journey, our Website may include links to other websites, tools, and organizations. We share these because we believe they may be useful.

However, NCI does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party websites. Including a link does not mean we endorse the site or its owners.

When you leave https://www.nativeconservationinitiative.org/, please review the terms and privacy policies of any site you visit. You use third-party websites at your own risk.

10. Changes to Terms

As our organization grows and our resources expand, we may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised version on this page and update the "Last Updated" date at the top.

For significant changes, we may also share a notice on our Website or through our newsletter. Your continued use of the Website after any changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. We encourage you to check back now and then so you always know where things stand.
